Come out this Friday and support our Varsity Conquerors as they play their qualification games. The girls play at 11:00 a.m. in the Life Center and the boys play at 2:30 p.m. in the Middle Gym. Don’t forget to wear your ORANGE on Friday.
JH Girls Basketball Team Make School History (We Think)l)
The JH Girls Basketball Team won the I.A.C.S. State Championship this past Saturday. This is possibly the first win for the JH Girls Team. There may have been one team in the past that have won, but with out a trophy and banner to prove it…we’ll give credit to Coach Washburn’s Team until we hear otherwise. The JH Boys took third place in the Division I Section. Congratulations to both teams on a job well done!
State Basketball Tournament Information
The JH Boys will face Danville this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the IACS State Tournament. With a win, they will move into the Division I Championship Game at 2:30 p.m.
The JH Girls will see Romeoville this Saturday also at 9:30 a.m. If they win, they will play for the Division I Championship Game at 1:10 p.m.
The Varsity Girls were given a second seed at the seeding meeting today. This gives them a bye until Friday of the State Tournament.
The Varsity Boys were given a sixth seed and will face seed eleven Jordan Baptist this Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the Life Center. Come out and support your Conquerors with your Duo Buddy (Friday is Duo Day).
HS Conquerors Come Close
Both the Varsity Teams came close to winning in last night’s basketball games. The girls came up short four points against the visiting Lancers from North Love and the boys went toe-to-toe against the Heritage Defenders until the last few minutes of the game. Both Conqueror Teams played great games.
JH Boys/Girls Win Tournament Games
Both JH Basketball Teams won last night advancing them to the division one brackets for Saturday’s State Tournament. The boys beat Berean for a third time this season in overtime 42-35. The girls beat Cathedral 36-30. Congratulations!
